What is modern jive?
Modern jive is an exciting and stylish form of partner dance. It is a fusion of many styles of dance including latin, salsa, jive and others and is very easy to pick up even if you have never danced before - you will be jiving by the end of your first lesson. Modern jive helps to keep you fit and is a great way to meet new friends.
By learning to modern jive you will be able to dance in night clubs, at parties, or wherever music is playing. With sounds ranging from the big band swing of the forties to the dance music of today there is something for everyone - which is part of the reason why modern jive appeals to such a wide age range.
No special clothes are needed - just dress casual. You do not need to bring your own dance partner as our teaching method ensures that everyone mixes together.
